I am a Professor of English at the University of Oregon. I completed my BA in French at Westfield College, University of London, and my PhD in Comparative Literature at the University of Southern California. Prior to joining the Department of English, I taught in the Robert D. Clark Honors College for 18 years.
My research and teaching areas include modernist literature and culture, contemporary British and Irish writing, comparative literature, Virginia Woolf studies, print culture, book history, archives, DH, comics, and life-writing.
Before joining the University of Oregon, I was a News Producer for the radio talk show “Which Way L.A.?” (now “To the Point”) on the Southern California National Public Radio affiliate KCRW-FM.
And, yes, my office really is this chaotic. Students always say they feel at home there as it reminds them of their dorm room!
